We finally got an official update from Media Blaster's distributor on the DVD release of Rio: Rainbow Gate. Looks like they are going to have to push it into 2014:
"Rio: Rainbow Gate was delayed due to manufacturing...originally a Sept
street. The title will be moved to '14 street tbd...but probably in 1st
qtr."
So just FYI everyone, we're looking at an early 2014 release date now - probably sometime in the 1st quarter - to be announced at a later date. If any of you have a copy on pre-order with us and want to make a change in that order, just drop us a line.

Translation: it's not worth paying "christmas season" replication costs?
More than likely it's a cash flow problem.
Suddenly, requesting that Media Blasters reconsider releasing Squid Girl season 2 on Blu-Ray doesn't seem like such a good idea after all. I figured that a lighter release schedule would mean fewer delays, but I guess with fewer employees around, I should've known better...
Now we're beyond the pseudo-release date of Yamibo too.
Haven't heard a thing concrete about Yamibo. If anyone up there knows they aren't sayin. We might not get anything else out of MB this year.
