Sentai just sent us a note letting us know that they are going to cancel the BD release of Love, Chunibyo and; Other Delusions which was previously scheduled for May 27th:

Love, Chunibyo and; Other Delusions Complete BLURAY SFB-CDK100 - CANCELED

The DVD version is still planned to go ahead as scheduled, and Sentai said they are canceling the BD version in favor of a possible premium edition release, of which details will be announced at a later date. Per Sentai's tumbler account:

HOUSTON, April 7, 2014 – Recently, our May 2014 release schedule was announced, which included the highly anticipated release of Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! Season 1. We’ve been keeping an eye on fan comments through our social media channels, and while we indicated a subtitle only release, due to the overwhelming demand from fans of the series, we have decided to release a Limited Edition Numbered Premium Box Set later this year which will include an all new English language track and both a Blu-ray and DVD version of the show. The current May release of this title will be a DVD subtitled-only offering.

We are going to go ahead and cancel all pre-orders for the BD version, however, if you would like to switch your pre-order to the regular DVD version (the subtitled only May 27th version) just give us a shout and we'll take care of it for you.

I Couldn't Agree More...

Same Day Anime Delivery - Coming Soon from RACS!

For Immediate Release
April 1st, 2014
RACS World Headquarters, Winchester, VA

Robert's Anime Corner Store entered into an agreement today with UAV Systems Corporation (Jessup, MD) to jointly develop a program to deliver Anime products to North American Otaku nationwide via unmanned airial vehicles (drones). RACS and UAV Systems will roll out a pilot program in several major cities to test the new technology a few weeks from now, with the goal of automated nationwide same day delivery coverage for Anime orders to be available by early 2015.

Robert, the CEO of RACS, made the following statements at today's press conference in Winchester, VA:

"We are very excited about our new partnership with UAV, which in a short time will give us the ability to delivery your Anime orders within hours, sometimes minutes, 24 hours a day 7 days a week anywhere in the country. We are already planning to build out 60 new aerial distribution facilities in major hubs across the country, and once we get everything up and running we should be able to deliver Anime to every address in the country in 60 minutes or less. UAV's advanced drone technology will allow almost instant delivery of regular Anime, Manga, Character Items, Hentai, Eroge Figurines - whatever you need right away! We're even in talks with a nationwide pizza outlet to allow our drones to stop off on the way and pickup some eats that you can enjoy while you enjoy your Anime or Manga selections."

When asked how far along they were with the program, Robert said:

"We're just about there. All we need is FAA approval, a computer system to run the drones, and about a Billion dollars to build out the facilities and infrastructure. It's going to be awesome!"

Robert went on to explain that RACS plans to raise the estimated one billion dollars necessary for the facilities and infrastructure via an upcoming Kickstarter campaign, commenting that crowd funding just makes sense because people there will, quote, "throw away their money on just about any crazy idea." Customers who contribute at least $10,000 to the campaign will receive a special limited edition postcard set and will get their drone deliveries for free for the first two weeks.

Robert also said that RACS choose UAV's technology over other drone makers because of their experience making drones for the military. Robert felt like eventually weaponizing the drone fleet would give RACS a competitive edge by having the capability to shoot down drones from other companies, as well as making it easier for the drones to collect on COD deliveries.

Robert closed the press conference by saying:

"I know we've got some serious technological hurtles to clear to make this happen, but I'm confident in our team. And hey, even if we can't make it work and the drones crash and burn, everyone will still get that postcard set..."
