Funimation has sent over their November 2012 release schedule, and we now have it up on the store site for pre-order. Here's what's coming:

Sengoku Basara : The Last Party DVD/BD Combo Set - Nov 6
Black Lagoon Season 1-2 Complete DVD/BD Combo Set (Eps #1-24) - Nov 13
Hellsing Complete Collection DVD Boxed Set (Classic Collection) - Nov 13
Hellsing Ultimate Vol #5-8 DVD/BD Combo Boxed Set - Nov 13
Mass Effect: Paragon Lost DVD/BD Combo Set - Nov 13
Serial Experiments Lain Complete Series DVD/BD Combo Set - Nov 13
Linebarrels of Iron Complete Collection DVD Boxed Set (Eps #1-24+OVA) (S.A.V.E.) - Nov 13
Sgt Frog (Keroro Gunso) Season 3 Complete DVD Boxed Set (Eps #52-77) - Nov 13
Tenchi in Tokyo Complete Collection DVD Box - Nov 13
Soul Eater Complete Collection Season 1-2 DVD Box Set (Eps #1-51) - Nov 20
Soul Eater Complete Collection Season 1-2 BLURAY Box Set (Eps #1-51) - Nov 20

Couple of comments:

1) The Black Lagoon set is Season 1 + 2nd Barrage. We're hoping this re-release is a prelude to Funi releasing the Roberta's Blood Trail OVA soon.

2) Lain being re-released domestically on BD is a marvelous thing!

3) We have decided to only pickup the DVD/BD release of Mass Effect and will not be offering the DVD only version. I hope we've priced the combo set so that it's a non-issue for most folks. :-)

'Lain' getting a blu ray release is indeed sweet--I just wish Funi was able to do the same for Haibane.

OMG - Haibane on domestic BD would be absolutely terrific wouldn't it?! There isn't much I can think of that would come in higher on my BD want list.

What's that "mehhh"-ing I hear in the background? Why, it's Tenchi In Tokyo, the black sheep of the Tenchi franchise. (Not to mention the worst thing to happen to Tenchi; yes, even worse than the OVA 3 series.)

Back on topic, I'm a little leery of Lain being on Blu-Ray. Something tells me it'll be an upscale (though I hope I'm wrong).

Keeping my figures crossed that it isn't an upscale as there is an HD master avialable. Right now we have no information on the set, not even box art. The set was included on Funi's main solicitation spreadsheet (which is a listing of title, part #, release date, and price), but was mysteriously excluded from Funi's November retailer packet that includes title release details, market profiles, and product images.

Personally, Lain wasn't really my thing. But Haibane Renmei is one of my all time favorites. I'd go nuts for an HD release of that one.

Also, new Hellsing Ultimate? It's about time! :D
