Funimation Bumps Shana Season 2 - Yet Again

Funimation always seems to have one or two totally schizophrenic scheduling fiasco's going on at any one time.

This years top candidate for the most rescheduled title is apparently going to be Shana 2. After just being bumped up last week from Sep to Oct, they have now bumped it again from Oct to Dec:

Shana (Shakugan no Shana) Season 2 Part 1 Complete DVD/BD Box - Oct 16 to Dec 11
Shana (Shakugan no Shana) Season 2 Part 2 Complete DVD/BD Box - Oct 16 to Dec 11

Patience is an Anime Fan.

UPDATE: A rep at Funimation told me today that they have a 'good reason' for the delay, and they will be making that reason public in a few weeks.

Oh, bugger!

This one really stings. We have waited for seemingly an eternity for this one to arrive in North America. For them to finally announce a date, and then push it back twice in rapid succession like this just feels like they are twisting the knife.

The only "good reason" that I can think of that would be good enough, is that they are planning on releasing season 3 on BluRay shortly after the December release of season 2. Though we know that would never happen.

According to a post on fandompost.com, the reason for the delay is so that they can add extras (hope this means they'll include the Shana-tan shorts).

On a similar topic, say goodbye to seeing season 2 dubbed by Ocean Studios, as Funimation will be dubbing the series in-house.
(Meaning Tabitha St. Germain is out as Shana and Cherami Leigh is in.)

Still, if they had brought back the original cast, they could've tied it into My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (because, you see, Tabitha St. Germain is the voice of Rarity... and with that, there will be no further mention of MLP: FiM... until "Inuyasha: The Final Act...).
