Blood + Season 2 DVD Box Scheduled for Release On Oct 20th

Sony has (finally) announced that the five DVD, 25 Episode Season 2 Blood Plus DVD Boxed Set will be released on October 20th:

"Blood +: Part Two debuts in a five-disc DVD Collection on October 20 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The collector’s set contains all 25 episodes from the second half of the series, featuring an all-new assemblage of behind-the scenes interviews, packaged with a manga sampler and a collectible beanie skullcap. Blood +, the dark and visually impressive Adult Swim series, aired on The Cartoon Network and is based on the anime film Blood: The Last Vampire released in 2000. Blood +: Part 2 will be available for $119.95 SRP. "

Synopsis: Saya Otonashi, a seemingly normal high school student, suffers from amnesia and can’t remember the past year of her life. One day, after a man appears and gives her a katana sword, her destiny changes forever. Soon Saya finds herself fighting the latest threat to humanity – Chiropterans, ravenous immortal creatures that can change form and disguise themselves as human beings. An organization known as the Red Shield has been waging a private war to wipe them out. Saya travels to Ekaterinburg during the continued struggle, but no one’s safe.

It is wonderful to see Sony not let this series go unfinished. I've been hopeful from the beginning but just couldn't stand the idea of paying so much for the first half and never getting the second.

Very nice to see this 100% confirmed. Now if only those vampire obsessed Twilight fans could be convinced to obsess over this series. . . .

It's about time Sony finally gives us a release date for the second half of this amazing series. This is just another "must buy" item on my LONG "anime to buy" list.
