The 12th episode, which is the first episode in the "Endless Eight" story arc, is the second new Haruhi episode that Kyoto Animation produced since the anime's original 2006 run.

Robert,do you know how well Haruhi sold on DVD in R1.....

I was wondering what the chances of
of a season 2 getting licensed and dubbed was.Now...I know you dont know about that, given it has not even finished airing yet in Japan, and this would be ages away anyway.

But still,what were the #'s on S1 ?

It did extremely well (the 1st art box with the little drawer was the most pre-ordered item in our history) but that was two years ago and the market is totally different now. Even if the 2nd season is groundbreaking Bandai could not expect anywhere close to the sales level today that the original release received in 2007.

Actually, the May 2007 Haruhi release marked the top of the R1 anime market, which has been shrinking steadily ever since.
