Holy crap-ola. I consider myself a dedicated collector and yet I feel a bit ashamed I only own half the amount of Anime he doe. It's like he's made it his life's mission to own literally everything, although now that I think about it I don't recall seeing 'Sailor Moon' anywhere.
Of course, any collection that includes 'Haibane Renmei' is a complete collection in my opinion!
I only have around 800ish figures. I'm not sure that qualifies as 'legendary'. And the only thing that is really special about my figure collection are my rare Volks 1:4 scale resins that were produced back in the mid 90's. I keep them mostly in glass front barrister bookcases in the library. Maybe I'll break the video camera out the next time I take them out for cleaning. That's always quite a job!
And I have to agree with Eric Potter about "Haibane Renmei", too. In fact, I will go farther, and say that any collection that doesn't have "Haibane Renmei" in it is very much incomplete.
800 figures is the largest figure collection I have ever heard of. It's such a large number that I honestly cant imagine what such a sight would look like, or how much space it would take to display it all. Unless a good portion of them are those capsule figures. Those are pretty tiny.
Man get that guy some shelves quick! It pains me to see all that anime just piling up on the floor.
I probably have maybe a quarter of that myself and consider my collection to be fairly large still. That guys collection is just nuts and i'm totally envious of it. Maybe if I win the lottery this weekend i'll be able to pull off that kind of haul myself. Hey, we all have dreams right?...
Assuming that guy buys his anime from RACS he'll be single handedly paying for your staff xmas party right?^^

HEH. I would guess he's got around $30-$40K worth of Anime there. That would be good for about $4,000 in gross profit to RACS. I suppose we could have a fairly decent party off of that - as long as no one here needed to be paid that week. -_^

When people come over they are more impressed with my collection of Macross cels, but I think it's hard for a non-Anime person to understand what they are looking at - especially if you don't know who the characters are. Maybe I'll take some picture sometime and do a contest for a prize if someone can name all the characters. I have some rather obscure ones, so it might be a good Otaku test for someone. :-)
I don't have any capsule or UFO figures. The smallest figure in my collection is 1:10 scale, and there are only a few of those. The rest are mostly 1:8-1:6, with a few 1:4 and couple of 1:3. I built the bulk of it out when the Yen was changing to the dollar at a much better rate than today. I want to bring one of those 4' Eva Unit 01's home, but I have no where to put it. Maybe in the foyer...
Oh, the other thing that I'd like to mention - I don't have a SINGLE widow box for any of those figures. All my girls breath air, and the window boxes go into the trash.
Hint hint people...
Of course, if I ever move again it's going to be a bitch. -_^
Wow, that's a massive anime collection! It's easily the biggest one I've seen to date. Very impressive to say the least. I think he has at least around five times more anime than I do.

I feel sorry for his lack of display space. =(
And Bob, aren't you suppose to have some sort of legendary figure collection? When are you going to do a Youtube video?
He's going the need a bigger boat... LOL!

Are you sure that wasn't RACS! Holy Toledo! That was amazing!
I thought I was a sci-fi anime hoarder. WOW! My room feels spacious next to that display of awesomeness. : )
Holy crap-ola squared.

+1
And Card Captor Sakura.
I didn't see any VHS tapes or LD's in his collection, so I think he's a 'relatively' new collector. :-)
